How to make a reservation

Select the river and section that best suits your plans and challenge level.
Select a date and an alternate date.
Determine the number of rafters and/ or campers.
Call 1-800-633-7238 or e-mail us to make your reservation.
Confirm reservations by sending a $25.00 non-refundable deposit per person per day and the signed reservation form within 14 days of calling or e-mailing your reservation.
Send the balance due at least 45 days prior to your trip date for the New River and no later than June 1 for the Gauley River.
Reservations made less than 45 days prior to your trip date for the New River and after June 1 for the Gauley River require full payment and signed reservation form within 14 days in order to confirm (or immediately if less than 14 days to the trip date).
Requests may be made for guides, paddle or oar boats, etc. but we CANNOT guarantee any requests.

Additional Policies

No personal checks will be accepted within 30 days of your raft trip.
All monies must be paid in United States currency.
There will be a $25.00 fee on returned checks.
We do accept VISA, MC, Discover and AMEX. In order to complete a credit card transaction we require: a signed credit card agreement and credit card sales slip; a photocopy of the of the front and back of the credit card being used; a photocopy of the front and back of the cardholder's Driver's license.
Forfeited deposits cannot be applied to any balance that is due.
Drift-a-Bit reserves the right to cancel reservations without refund or notice upon non-receipt of deposit or balance within the time limits described or upon non-receipt of signed reservations form.
Date changes may be possible if requested at least 45 days prior to the original trip date for the New River and before July 15 for the Gauley River.
Cancellations and/ or refunds will be honored (less the $25.00 non-refundable deposit per person per day) only if we receive written notification at least 45 days prior to your trip for the New River and before July 15 for the Gauley River. Otherwise, NO REFUNDS will be issued. Refunds do not cover any other costs incurred by our guests.
The trip organizer (person who calls to make the reservations) is responsible for making ALL changes to the reservations.
We DO NOT issue refunds for LATE ARRIVALS missing the trip or for NO-SHOWS.
We do recommend the purchase of short-term travel insurance including medical, baggage, accident and trip cancellation protection.
We run RAIN or SHINE.
Drift-a-Bit reserves the right to change rivers, relocate onto any section of river, change trip length, change trip time or cancel a trip due to adverse weather or water conditions or other factors beyond our control. In addition, we reserve the right to switch to a different size raft, number of people per raft and/ or oar-assisted to paddle-powered or vice versa. The forces of nature have complete control over us. We can provide trips on alternate dates or refund deposit/ payments only in the event of complete cancellation of a trip by us.

Possum Trot reserves the right to demand any person(s) not abiding by the rules and regulations of Possum Trot Campground (as stated and as posted) and by the laws of West Virginia to leave the premises without refund. Possum Trot Campground/ Drift-a-Bit, Inc. DOES NOT assume responsibility for bodily injury or for damage or loss of property (including vehicles) while on premises. A guest is liable for any and all damages to Possum Trot/ Drift-a-Bit property.
