The smallmouth population of the New River is widely regarded as one of the best in the state and has few rivals along the eastern seaboard. State records for three different species have been pulled from the waters of the New including a 7 1/2 pound smallmouth!       We offer single and multi-day trips in which you are professionally guided down the New River in a center-mounted inflatable raft which will enable you to find all of the best fishing holes.       Our fishing trips begin early and finish late, so come prepared to fish! Your trip will include all safety equipment, transportation to and from the river, a riverside deli-style lunch, a mid-day snack and refreshments before and after your trip.       Fishing trips can also become an overnighter allowing for nighttime fishing for HUGE catfish. Fly Fishing Classes Lunch, drinks and tackle provided Half Day Class $65.00 per person This is a basic introduction to the world of fly fishing. In this class you'll learn a basic knowledge of tackle, flies, and fly casting. This is a great opportunity to see if fly fishing is for you. Full Day Class $105.00 per person If you have ever wanted to learn to fly fish, this is the class for you. Our guides take the mystery out of fly fishing and make it a fun and enjoyable experience that anyone can learn. We give you insight into fly fishing tackle, fly presentation, fly selection, water reading skills and have you casting in just a few hours. To ensure the quality of instruction, classes are limited to 8 participants. Guided Fly Fishing Trips To ensure the quality of these trips, we are limited to 4 participants. Full Day Trip $350.00 per boat The full day trip starts early and often finishes late. We cover seven to twelve miles on the river, depending upon water-levels. Gourmet riverside lunch, snacks, drinks and all tackle provided. Half Day Trip $245.00 per boat This trip leaves when the fish are most active. We either fish early in the morning or late afternoon. This is a great trip for tight schedules! Drinks, snacks and all tackle provided. Overnight Trip $460 per person The premier fly fishing trip! After fishing all day we end up at a riverside campsite already prepared for your convenience. You will be provided with a riverside dinner, tents, tarps, and sleeping cots to ensure a good nights sleep!
